01Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Lessondex mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App, including music teachers, students, and family members ("Users"). By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age, or that you are a parent or guardian consenting on behalf of a minor.
02Description of Service
Lessondex is a studio management platform designed for private music teachers and their students. The App provides tools for scheduling lessons, managing student rosters, tracking assignments, generating invoices, and processing payments.
Lessondex is a platform that facilitates connections between teachers and their students. We are not a party to any agreement between teachers and students regarding the terms, pricing, or delivery of music lessons.
03User Accounts
Account Creation
To use Lessondex you must create an account using a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Account Types
- Teacher accounts — full access to studio management tools including student management, scheduling, billing, and assignments.
- Student accounts — access to their own lesson schedule, assignments, and billing information.
- Family accounts — access to schedule, assignments, and billing for linked student family members.
Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.
04Payments & Billing
Payment Processing
Lessondex uses Stripe, Inc. to process payments. By making a payment through the App, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Lessondex does not store full payment card information on our servers.
Teacher Payouts
Teachers who accept payments through Lessondex must connect a Stripe account. Payouts are subject to Stripe's standard processing timelines and fee schedule. Lessondex is not responsible for delays or failures in Stripe's payout process.
Refunds
Refund policies are set by individual teachers. Lessondex does not guarantee refunds for lesson payments. Any disputes regarding refunds should be resolved directly between the teacher and student or family.
Invoices
Invoices generated through Lessondex are provided as a convenience tool. Teachers are responsible for the accuracy of invoice amounts, due dates, and student billing information.
05Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Lessondex to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Upload or transmit malicious code or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its servers
- Use the App for any purpose other than legitimate music studio management
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.
06Intellectual Property
The Lessondex name, logo, and App design are the intellectual property of Lessondex, LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Content you create within the App — such as lesson notes, assignments, and invoices — remains yours. By using Lessondex you grant us a limited license to store and display that content to you and the users you share it with.
07Disclaimers
Lessondex is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lessondex, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or business interruption.
08Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the App or by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Lessondex at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the service.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
09Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Texas.
