When you use Lessondex, we collect the following types of information:
- Account information — name, email address, role (teacher, student, or family)
- Studio data — lesson schedules, student rosters, assignments, and invoices created by teachers
- Payment information — transaction records (payment card data is handled exclusively by Stripe)
- Device information — device type and push notification tokens for delivering notifications
- Usage data — how you interact with the App to help us improve the product
02How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the Lessondex service
- Send push notifications you have opted into
- Process payments and generate invoices
- Communicate service updates and important account information
- Improve the App based on usage patterns
We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to third parties.
04Children's Privacy
Lessondex may be used by students under the age of 13 only with verifiable parental consent. Teachers who add students under 13 to their studio are responsible for obtaining appropriate parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without consent, please contact us immediately at contact@lessondex.com.
05Data & Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Please notify us immediately at contact@lessondex.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
06Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at contact@lessondex.com.
07Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion — request that we delete your personal data
- Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
